Google Trends Supports Seo

The way our world is shape makes us able to share content at an extremely high rate. The evolvement of the Internet and Google has given you "the people" the opportunity to post top stories as they hit. From the creation of the blogging platform, this has given the average person the ability to become part of big stories which leads me back to Google Trends.

Everyone of the major search engines favor top keywords that are hot and ready to be searched. Like the year of 2009 when Michael Jackson passed away when the Internet pretty much just shut down. There was no other story bigger then that so you know there was content popping up all over the place.

So people were going online and searching for stuff like " Michael Jackson dead" or "Michael dead" and ect. Plus once something like this gets publish on the news and hits all the top news website then you will see the searches just tumble through the roof. This is how they determine the Trend for the day and able to see what’s hot.

Take Advantage Of Hot News

So if your anything like me when it comes to building content and learning how to choose the best keywords. Then you will see opportunities like this as a gold mine and start posting a couple of articles around it so the search engines can pick you up. This allows you to get a spike in traffic if your able to get a good placement, but the only way to get a good ranking is to be fast and publish that content ASAP.

To your amazement Google Trends allows you to not only see what’s hot and trending now but they also lets you search for your own phrases. Meaning you can search for "cooking pans" and see if people are searching for parts of the keyword, so you can create content around it.

Plus you can see if the searches are on the rise or beginning to fall off the face of the earth. This helps to know whether of not its smart to create a piece of content around that or not. What I like to use the most is the "More Hot Trends" where you can get even more topics to write about especially if you have a news type site.

Couch Potato News

People will Google top stories all the time no matter where their at. We all have cell phones these days which connects to the Internet so its easy for us to search for anything at the drop of a dime. One of my favorite shows is the Shark Tank that comes on ABC on Fridays. This is a very hot show to many if you haven’t heard about. But if you watch a good bit of TV then you can become the place to get the lastest update on any show, breaking news or evet that’s about to take place.

People will be looking at TV and see something interesting and start searching for it online. If you’re a media driven person and want to be the source of whatever breaking on TV, then its best you publish a piece of content as it hits. From here you will be one of the first to bring that news online and could be getting a nice bit of search traffic.

What’s great that this works for every simple bit of TV stuff you see. If people are watching then you best believe someone is searching for it online so be the first piece of content they see.

Use Common Sense

There are many free SEO tools out there that makes this process easier, but the problem is that bout time those software’s get all the data in for what’s been searched online. The buzz will have passed, and you would have missed out on a opportunity to drive massive amounts of traffic to your site.

So the best way to prevent something like this from happen is to use the good old free tool God gave you which is your "Brain" The thing that makes you a creative person and able to tackle any form of marketing online. Sometimes you just have to get down to business and start thinking for yourself and understanding what’s hot and how to create content around it.

I say read a newspaper, watch TV and listen to the radio and find out what’s really hot and go take advantage of it. To wrap this up..I will like to say this post wasn’t about the usually SEO stuff, but it was center around getting to your SEO game plan together by using your brain as your tool of though to find more targeted traffic driven keyword phrases.
